Tories say ‘my door is always open’, Before Sodding off to hide in Mansions
The image above accurately describes what Rishi Sunak and the Tory ‘government’ has said to nurses, ambulance staff and other key workers. They were told to fuck off, in such a crass and dishonest way that it would have shamed Scrooge.
Greedy, sadistic Scrooge was freaked out by some Christmas-time visions, which pricked his conscience — but I’m not convinced anyone in the Tory government has a conscience. Evidently you can’t be bought decency by money-hoarding elitist parents or tax avoidant partners.
The grossly dishonest line peddled for weeks by Health and Social Care Secretary Steve Barclay has been his ‘door is always open’, to nurses and other striking health practitioners. This is a pile of crap! After avoiding speaking to the nursing profession, with all his might, he met with the Royal College of Nursing for half an hour — a meeting which he angrily fled from after refusing to listen to nurses talk about pay.
Despite the ‘door is always’ open line being so patently shit and dishonest, multimillionaire prime minister Rishi Sunak used it himself today, before scuttling off for his sumptuous Christmas, in one of his very well heated luxury homes.
