Liz Truss is a ‘Sleeper Agent Set to Bring Down the Tory Party’ (Even if She Doesn’t Know It Yet!)

The similarities between Liz Truss and the character played by Jesse Eisenberg in American Ultra are uncanny. The truth is staring us in the face — and any Conservatives who have seen the 2015 film must be chilled to the bone.
Like Liz Truss, who was previously known only for selling groceries (see below) and looking as perplexed as a sloth on ketamine trying to fathom advanced algebra, Eisenberg’s character Mike Howell sells groceries through a misty, permanently perplexed, drug-induced haze. You’ll agree, basically the same person!
But **spoiler alert** there’s a twist! You see it isn’t just drugs keeping Mike (and Liz) in a state of permanent confusion, in which he (they) is a stranger to the past and (like Liz) has his ability so deeply buried that even he can’t detect it.
Just as Liz can’t seem to recall when she was a coherent liberal (a social liberal, not a deranged, callous, hard-right neoliberal) with the desire to abolish the monarchy (see below) Mike doesn’t remember being a highly intelligent young man who was recruited into a covert MK Ultra-like programme. And so he doesn’t know he is a sleeper agent, with skills and awareness he has forgotten about that could bring down the whole rotten system. Just like Liz Truss!
Mike doesn’t realise it, but his beloved long-term girlfriend Phoebe Larson (played by Kristen Stewart) isn’t just a fellow stoner but his secret CIA handler who knows his background and that he can be triggered into action by code words. To cut a long story short, he was, and his strategic ingenuity and badass skills break out from his previously numbed mind. His ‘fluffy’ stoner girlfriend also suddenly has the practiced skills of a…
