Excrement on our Shores and Hard-Right Crap Peddled to the Shires WON’T Win an Election

I don’t recall a leadership election where the focus was about pleasuring the most extreme hard-right elements of the Tory Party without showing the slightest regard for those who are suffering the most — and will suffer much more when winter comes.

Both surviving candidates of the meandering Tory version of Hunger Games (where only the viewers starve, while rich Tories play their silly game) are guilty of pissing about while the country burns — and while shit is pumped onto our shores (due to THEIR actions) and while families struggle to exist. But Liz Truss, who would beam with delight when visiting any human tragedy, like an excited toddler at a fair, has gone so far down the hard-right rabbit hole, it’s hard to see her emerging with any dignity or rationality. Permanently perplexed Liz is now more cruel, callous narcissistic queen than she is wide-eyed Alice.

This shift to the extreme right, from someone previously viewed as on the low side of mediocre but essentially liberal, is a huge problem for society. It is often talked about parents having to choose between eating and heating — if their children are malnourished and ill or freezing and ill — but it’s worse than that.
